These Terms of Service govern your use of CalcTide. By accessing or using the site, you agree to use it only in a lawful way and only for purposes consistent with these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
CalcTide is a public website that publishes calculators, converters, guides, and supporting reference content. The site is meant to help people estimate, check, compare, and understand formulas across topics such as finance, health, education, construction, business, writing, and technology. It is not a custom advisory service, and use of the site does not create a professional-client relationship of any kind.
You may use the site for personal, educational, research, editorial, and ordinary business-planning purposes. That includes using a calculator to estimate a result, reading a guide to understand a formula, or sharing a public page link with someone else. You may also print or save reasonable excerpts for your own reference so long as you do not present the content as your own work or strip away context that changes its meaning.
Permitted use does not mean unrestricted use. Your use must remain consistent with applicable law, these terms, and the ordinary operation of a public website. The site is designed to help people get practical answers, not to serve as a platform for abuse, mass copying, or automated load that harms availability for other users.
Many CalcTide pages produce estimates based on stated formulas, assumptions, and conventions. Some tools return exact arithmetic or conversion outputs when the underlying inputs are exact. Many others do not. A retirement projection depends on assumed returns. A body metric depends on a published equation and limited inputs. A materials tool depends on dimensions, waste assumptions, and real-world conditions outside the page.
You are responsible for reviewing the assumptions, limitations, and labels on the page you use. A result should be treated as a planning aid, not as a guarantee, diagnosis, appraisal, legal conclusion, tax filing instruction, engineering certification, or substitute for a professional review. When a topic has higher stakes, verify the output with original documents, relevant standards, and qualified advice.
CalcTide does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, investment, engineering, or other licensed professional advice. The site does not know your full circumstances, and the calculators cannot account for every personal, contractual, regulatory, or physical factor that may matter in a real decision.
If you use a calculator or guide in a situation involving health, lending, taxes, legal rights, structural safety, or another sensitive matter, treat the result as a starting point for review, not the final answer. You remain responsible for deciding whether a tool is suitable for your purpose and whether additional expert review is needed.
We work to keep the site accurate and useful, but no public website can promise that every page is complete, current, or free from error at every moment. Formulas may be revised. Examples may be expanded. Labels, assumptions, or limitation notes may be clarified. Links may change as the site grows.
That ongoing revision process is part of how the site is maintained. It also means older interpretations, screenshots, or cached copies may not reflect the latest version of a page. If you rely on a result, review the page itself rather than assuming a copied excerpt still matches the current calculation logic or explanatory text. If you spot an issue, use the contact page or email the address listed there.
CalcTide does not currently require user accounts to access the public calculators and guides. That makes the site easy to use, but it also means you are responsible for keeping your own records if you want to preserve a calculation, compare results later, or document an estimate for your own work. Unless a specific page clearly says otherwise, the site should not be treated as your personal recordkeeping system.
If you send us a message with your own data, you are responsible for deciding what to include. Do not send confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive material unless it is truly necessary to explain a problem. For privacy details, review the privacy policy.
The site design, page copy, calculator structure, branding, graphics, and original content on CalcTide are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive permission to access and use the publicly available site content for ordinary personal and business reference use consistent with these terms.
This permission does not allow you to republish entire pages as your own, mirror substantial portions of the site, scrape the content into another product, or use the branding in a way that suggests approval, partnership, or ownership. A public reference link back to a page is fine. Copying or repackaging the site at scale is not.
You may not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to bypass normal access controls. That includes introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, launching automated requests that degrade availability, attempting to alter results or content without authorization, impersonating the site, or using the site in a way that violates law or the rights of others.
You also may not use the site to present a calculator output or guide excerpt in a misleading way. For example, do not remove limitation notes, omit disclaimers from sensitive interpretations, or describe a planning estimate as if it were an official professional conclusion.
Some site functionality relies on third-party infrastructure or services, and pages may occasionally link to outside sources for reference. We do not control third-party sites, third-party policies, or the content they publish. A link from CalcTide does not guarantee that an outside site will remain available, accurate, secure, or suitable for your purpose.
When you leave our site, you do so under the terms and privacy rules of the destination you visit. Review them when the destination matters to your use.
If you send us feedback, a bug report, a correction suggestion, or a tool request, you allow us to review and use that submission to improve the site. That does not mean we are required to publish your idea, credit you publicly, or compensate you for the suggestion. It means you are sending feedback for review, not transferring control of the site's editorial decisions.
Please do not send material you are not allowed to share. If your message includes third-party content, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to provide it.
We may add, remove, or revise calculators, guides, categories, internal links, layouts, or supporting content at any time. A page may be changed because the formula was improved, the wording was clarified, the site structure was reorganized, or a feature no longer meets the standard for an indexable public page.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent availability of a specific page, or compatibility with every device, browser, extension, or network condition. Temporary outages, maintenance windows, broken links, and upstream service issues can happen even when we work to minimize them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalcTide is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not make warranties that the site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or fit for your specific professional, academic, medical, financial, legal, or technical purpose.
A calculator can be useful without being universal. A guide can be accurate and still not fit every jurisdiction, institution, contract, or personal circumstance. Those limits are part of using public reference content responsibly.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses or damages arising from your use of, reliance on, or inability to use the site. That includes direct or indirect losses tied to planning decisions, financial estimates, health interpretations, project costs, business assumptions, data entry errors, downtime, or third-party services.
This limitation reflects the nature of the site. CalcTide is a public information resource, not a professional services contract or a custom decision engine built for your specific facts. If a decision carries real financial, health, legal, or safety consequences, independent verification is your responsibility.
We may revise these terms as the site changes. When we do, the updated date at the top of the page will change to reflect the latest revision to this text. Your continued use of the site after the revised terms are posted means you accept the updated version.
